Allow yourself to be overwhelmed at the possibilities of life.
Allow yourself to see everything for what it is. Allow yourself to become swept up in the beauty around you. Allow yourself to be invested in something bigger than yourself.
Allow yourself to live.
Too often we find ourselves wrapped up in our day to day duties, constantly thinking about how to remain secure in our lives.
We wake up, go to work, school, go home, watch TV- and that’s our day.
Nothing too special about it, right?
Wrong.
You woke up, you took a breath of oxygen which supported your lungs allowing for you to take another breath (I tried to Google something more scientific than that but you get what you get). You ate breakfast, which you converted into energy. You walked outside into an incredible and dynamic universe. You probably stepped on a leaf, which fell from a tree, that is alive. You communicated with other human beings. You used your insanely intricate brain to solve problems at work. You cooked dinner using different ingredients for your liking. You worked out and pushed yourself physically and mentally to achieve something of value. You watched TV that was coming out of a box, live from New York.
Are we getting the point?
Life is amazing, people.
Everything around you was created in some way. Everyone around you has and is their own soul. Everything is incredible. Everything deserves your recognition for what it is.
It’s sad really, that so many people forget this. It’s sad, that I allow myself to, too. It’s sad that we don’t take each day for what it is and realize that we can do whatever we want.
I want to see things. I want to go places. I want to meet people. I want to learn as much as I can. I want to have different experiences. I want to enjoy every moment. I want to appreciate it all.
I am overwhelmed with how amazing life is. I am overwhelmed with all of the things I want to do, all of the things I want to learn.
I am overwhelmed, in the best way possible (it’s in my Twitter bio, you can check)- and I hope you are too, because once you realize everything you can do in this world and how amazing it is, you will be exhausted… but you will be happy.
My mom’s favorite thing to tell me when I call her up with a new idea about life is, “your brain is on fire,” well, I wouldn’t want it any other way.
